Job summary

Ensignbus is recruiting an NVQ Level 3 PSV Shift Engineer for our Purfleet depot. You will diagnose faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs to keep buses safe and reliable.

This hands-on role includes servicing, breakdown response, and road testing. Shift work is required, including weekends, with early, mid, and late slots available. A valid UK licence and PSV experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Experience working on PSV.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• HGV/PSV licence preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs on PSV.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to on‑road breakdowns and recoveries.
• Road test vehicles and ensure documentation meets regulations and health and safety standards.
