Job summary

Arriva Telford Depot is seeking an experienced PSV Mechanic / PCV Engineer to maintain and diagnose PSV vehicles to DVSA standards. You will join a professional engineering team on a modern passenger fleet with a focus on safety, reliability and career development.

The role covers servicing, fault finding, MOT prep, safety inspections, roadside support, and using modern diagnostic tools. Shift work includes early/late and weekends; PCV licence training and IRTEC support are available, with a

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in PSV, HGV, automotive or vehicle engineering.
• Experience as a PSV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Bus Engineer, or Vehicle Technician.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

PSV Engineer Responsibilities

As a PSV Mechanic / Skilled PCV Engineer at Arriva Telford, you’ll play a key role in maintaining vehicle safety, reliability, and performance across our passenger transport fleet. Your duties will include:

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in PSV, HGV, automotive or vehicle engineering
• Experience as a PSV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Bus Engineer, or Vehicle Technician
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures
• Ability to work independently and follow engineering standards
• Electrical systems knowledge (desirable but not essential)
• PCV licence preferred — training can be provided
• IRTEC accreditation welcomed
