Vehicle Mechanical Technician

Location: Colchester - 2 nearby locations available

Salary: £21 Per hour

Working Hours: Monday-Friday double days

The company: You will be joining a well-known large service providing company within their maintenance depot, tasked with being hands-on in the fault-finding, maintenance and repair of large vehicles. Job Responsibilities:

1. Diagnosis, repair and regular servicing of company vehicles
2. Preparing vehicles for annual testing
3. Processing vehicle defect cards and all legal paperwork in line with the company and DVSA guidelines
4. To fully comply with all Health and Safety & Environmental legislation
5. Maintain / develop technical skills and to attend training courses as required by the company
6. This is just a summed-up list, and other responsibilities and tasks will be required.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Previous experience in a similar role
2. NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline (I.e. Heavy vehicles)
3. Ideally, some health and safety experience
4. Experience working within a manufacturing/production environment would be beneficial
5. Confidence and motivation to progress within your health and safety career
