Job summary

First Eastern Counties Buses Ltd in Great Yarmouth is seeking a PSV/HGV Mechanic to diagnose faults, repair and service our fleet. You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns while ensuring all records meet health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds an NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance and has PSV/HGV experience, plus a valid UK driving licence. Joining bonus on offer and shift rotation with weekend work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Experience on HGV or PSV vehicles is essential.
• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs on buses.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to on-road breakdowns and recoveries as needed.
• Road test vehicles and ensure documentation complies with regs.
