Job summary

An experienced PSV, HGV or Heavy Vehicle Technician is invited to become a PSV/HGV Trainer at our Bristol‑based Automotive Academy. You will train apprentices toward PSV engineering qualifications, delivering a mix of practical and theory‑based training, with full teacher training provided.

The role is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with long‑term progression and strong industry links. A Level 3 PSV/HGV qualification and substantial industry experience are required, with no prior teaching

Qualifications

Level 3 qualification in PSV, HGV or Heavy Vehicle Engineering.
Strong industry experience in PSV, HGV or Heavy Vehicle engineering.
Light Vehicle candidates considered with significant PSV/HGV experience.
No teaching experience required; full teacher training provided.

Responsibilities

Training and mentoring apprentices working towards their PSV engineering qualifications
Delivering practical and theory‑based automotive training
Helping learners progress throughout their apprenticeship and prepare for their future careers
Working closely with employer partners to deliver high‑quality, industry‑focused training
Full teacher training and ongoing professional development provided
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
