Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced PSV or HGV technician to train apprentices in Camberwell. The role blends practical and theoretical teaching to prepare learners for PSV engineering qualifications, with full teacher training provided.

The successful candidate will join a well-established automotive academy with over 50 years of experience. The position is Monday to Friday, 37 hours weekly, with a salary of UK£40,000–£45,000 plus benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 PSV/HGV or Heavy Vehicle Engineering qualification is required.
• Strong PSV/HGV industry experience is essential.
• Light Vehicle background with significant PSV/HGV exposure is acceptable.
• Genuine passion for passing on skills to trainees.
• Willingness to undergo full teaching training.

Responsibilities

• Training and mentoring apprentices toward PSV engineering qualifications.

Are you an experienced PSV, HGV or Heavy Vehicle Technician looking to move off the tools and into a rewarding career where you can pass on your skills?

The organisation continues to grow and now supports over 500 students across multiple locations, with a strong reputation for delivering industry-focused training.

In this role, you will train and support apprentices working towards their PSV engineering qualifications, delivering a mixture of practical and theory-based training. You will use your industry experience to help learners develop their technical knowledge, practical skills and confidence, preparing them for a successful career within the PSV industry.

The ideal candidate will be a Level 3 qualified PSV or HGV technician with strong industry experience. Candidates with a Light Vehicle qualification may also be considered where they have significant experience working within the HGV or PSV industry.

No previous teaching experience is required, as full teacher training and ongoing development will be provided. The organisation is looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about their trade and wants to pass their knowledge and experience on to the next generation.

The Person:

• Level 3 qualification in PSV, HGV or Heavy Vehicle Engineering
• Strong industry experience within PSV, HGV or Heavy Vehicle engineering
• Light Vehicle candidates considered where they have significant HGV or PSV industry experience
• Genuine passion for passing on your skills and developing the next generation of technicians
• Positive attitude with a genuine desire to build a long-term career in training
• No previous teaching experience required - full training will be provided

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
