Job description

Salary: £36.2k - £42.2k

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PCV Electrician / Electrically biased Mech/Electro to join our Engineering Team at our Walkergate Depot in Newcastle upon Tyne.

At Stagecoach North East, we operate over 400 vehicles, connecting our passengers across Tyne and Wear and Teesside. Our engineering teams play a fundamental role in ensuring our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Our depot at Walkergate is a purpose-built facility, operating 103 buses and coaches.

The successful candidate will play a key role within our maintenance team to ensure our vehicles are maintained and repaired, remaining available, roadworthy, and reliable for our customers at all times.

This is a shift-based role, with shifts scheduled for any 5 days over 7, which will be discussed at the interview.

A PCV licence is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject (essential).
• Experience in Engineering: 1 year (required).
• Licence/Certification: NVQ level 3 Engineering (PCV, HGV).

Salary: Potential to earn £36.2k basic - £42.2k per year with some overtime, with an ongoing pay increase currently being negotiated.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
