Job description

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV / PSV Workshop Manager / Service Manager / Assistant Engineering Manager (AEM) to join their busy workshop in the South East London area.


The successful candidate must hold an industry recognised qualification and ideally have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role on Heavy Vehicles / HGV / PSV / PCV / Bus. You should have a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for bus or truck.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that all staff within the garage fully understand and comply with company and statutory requirements in terms of Health & Safety and operating procedures.

  2. To ensure that the depot peak vehicle requirement is achieved on a daily basis and to ensure that all vehicles supplied for service are maintained to a high standard that exceeds the statutory requirements set out by VOSA and TFL.

  3. Dealing with the maintenance, health and safety and environmental impact of Company premises and ensuring legislative compliance.

  4. Previous experience working for a busy London Bus Company such as Arriva London, Stagecoach London, Go Ahead London etc or even a HGV Main Dealer like Scania, Volvo Truck etc would be an advantage but not essential.
