Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Assessor (PSSR) in the West Midlands. The role offers £47,000 – £52,000 plus a £6,600 car allowance, 8% pension, full surveying training and a mix of work from home and client site.

You will survey and assess engineering assets against codes and standards, with training provided on additional requirements. The role requires familiarity with PSSR and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with qualifications in mechanical engineering, welding, fabrication or materials and familiarity with PSSR codes.

Responsibilities

• Performing technical inspections/assessments against defined specifications/scope.
• Assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for clients.
• Contribute to client management as appropriate, acting as point of contact to manage client relationships.
• Produce the deliverable (reports/certificates/documents) within broad parameters.
• Discuss/present deliverable to internal/external client at a senior level and suggest alternatives.
• Follow up training plans, monitor activity and pursue CPD.
