Our Catch22 College comprises 8 sites nationwide delivering academic and vocational training for young people aged 16+ who are not suited to mainstream colleges. These sites offer a supportive environment to build confidence, self-belief, and skills to help learners achieve their goals. We are dedicated to helping our learners find their future.

This position involves teaching across our three college sites in the North East: Peterlee College, Bishop Auckland College, and Stanley College.

  • Teach PSHE and Skills Subjects: Deliver topics including Enrichment, Employability, Enterprise, and key skills, along with relevant qualifications.

  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster an inclusive, inspiring classroom that celebrates diversity and high achievement expectations.

  • Plan and Deliver Effective Lessons: Develop structured schemes of work and lessons tailored to individual needs, aligned with curriculum and regulatory standards.

  • Use Diverse Teaching Strategies: Employ various methods and resources to meet learners' needs, following institutional policies.

  • Assess and Track Progress: Monitor, assess, and report on student progress using tracking systems, targets, and IEPs.

  • Support Student Development: Build trusting relationships, guide learners, and facilitate reflection on progress and personal goal setting.

  • Engage Parents and Staff: Communicate student progress and collaborate with support staff and the wider team for pastoral and behavioral support.

  • Ensure Compliance and Outcomes: Deliver curriculum meeting DfE and regulatory standards, aiming for at least good outcomes for all students.

Additional Information

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, Term Time Only, 39 Weeks

Hours per week: 37

Salary: £22,561.95 - £26,033.02 pro-rata (FTE £26,000 - £30,000)

Specific Requirements

  • The post holder must have a driving license and be able to drive as part of the role.
