An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare support worker to join our amazing team working between our 7 bedded Acute Medical Assessment Unit and our Ambulatory Emergency Care Department, at Dr. Gray’s Hospital, Elgin

Applications are welcomed from individuals with a willingness to work dynamically and support ever-changing service delivery at Dr Gray’s Hospital. The post holder should be motivated and have a growing interest in acute medicine and unscheduled care.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine individual care duties for patients in support of the nursing team. The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain patients’ personal care and hygiene needs, and carry out set clinical skills to ensure effective and efficient care delivery, such as cannulation, venepuncture, taking ECGs etc. The post holder will also be responsible for stock rotation, management of equipment, keeping the departments clean, tidy and clutter-free, and deliver safe, effective care and appropriately carry out clinical interventions with competence.

The potholder must have excellent interpersonal skills, communicate well, both written and verbal, be able to work under some pressure, be able to prioritise their workload effectively and preferably have previous experience working within an acute clinical setting.
