We are searching for an experienced Prudential Senior Consultant.

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market and beyond. Our Consulting team plays a major role in driving the firm’s growth, with over 1,700 people delivering nearly £200m in revenue.

Our core solutions include business transformation, deal services, finance support, risk and governance, forensic services, and restructuring. These tailored solutions help clients achieve strategic goals and enable our people to develop unique career paths.

This role is within our Prudential Team in Risk Assurance, Financial Services. The team provides prudential regulatory advice and guidance to clients, helping them maintain adequate financial resources and manage risks according to regulatory standards and business objectives. Our clients range from niche challengers to established financial institutions, across the UK and internationally.

As a Senior Consultant, you will deliver advisory and internal audit work, support technical research, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development, all while following RSM UK’s methodologies and risk management policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver client work, including technical reviews of prudential risk matters
  • Support engagement managers with day-to-day delivery
  • Engage stakeholders and manage relationships effectively
  • Review documents, models, and conduct gap analyses against regulations
  • Lead client interviews and process walkthroughs
  • Develop solutions and draft detailed reports with recommendations
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients
  • Research and communicate technical regulatory rules
  • Manage aspects of the client engagement lifecycle, including budgeting and resourcing
  • Assist in producing tender documents and proposals
  • Participate in growing the RSM Financial Services brand through market research, propositions, and thought leadership
Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in banking, wealth and asset management, or insurance sectors
  • Strong knowledge of prudential risk issues and regulations
  • Experience in professional services or regulated financial institutions, especially in prudential advice or internal audit
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, FRM, or working towards them
