Job Description:

My client is a leading retail bank located just outside Leicester, seeking a prudential risk manager to work across their enterprise risk function. The role involves covering aspects of market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk, playing a key part in implementing their ERM framework.

The position offers flexibility for remote work, with travel to the office 1-2 times a week required.

Having recently received board approval to endorse their Enterprise Risk Framework, they are expanding their enterprise risk team to support this initiative. Joining at this pivotal time presents exciting challenges and opportunities, including building key relationships and gaining exposure within the Building Society.

The ideal candidate will:

1. Understand Prudential Regulations to draft policies that meet regulatory requirements.
2. Have exposure to credit, liquidity, and operational risk frameworks, including ICAAP and ILAAP reporting.
3. Possess technical skills in Python, SAS, SQL (advantageous).
4. Build relationships across business areas to ensure proper policy embedding.
5. Be responsible for delivering sign-off on all policies across the bank.
6. Work closely with the C-Suite and business users to implement policies.
7. Challenge users to ensure policies are adhered to regularly.
8. Represent ERM at monthly committee meetings.
