Job Description:

My client is a leading professional services firm with multiple sites across the UK, seeking a new member for their prudential risk team. The role involves working across their 1st and 2nd line risk functions, covering market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks, and supporting the rollout of their prudential risk framework for clients.

The position offers remote work flexibility, with occasional visits to the London, Birmingham, or Manchester offices.

As the business expands, they aim to strengthen their Prudential risk team to maintain their strong position with some of the UK's largest financial services firms. Joining now offers significant challenges, opportunities, and the chance to build key relationships and gain organizational exposure.

This role is ideal for someone seeking a challenging environment in a complex business, with great development prospects.

The candidate should be able to:

  • Understand Prudential Regulations to develop policies that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Be ACCA / ACA or CIMA qualified.
  • Be comfortable working between the 1st and 2nd lines of defense.
  • Have exposure to credit risk, liquidity risk, or operational risk frameworks, including ICAAP and ILAAP reporting.
  • Build relationships across business areas to ensure policies are embedded correctly.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management and business users to implement policies.
  • Challenge users to ensure policies are consistently followed.
