SEND Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant - PRU - Manchester

Start ASAP - Until End of Academic Year (with View to Go Permanent)

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND TA to work in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Manchester, starting immediately.

Key Details:

• Location: Manchester
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: Until the end of the academic year, with the potential to go permanent
• Pay: Competitive, based on experience (£85 - £120p/d dependent on experience)

This PRU is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for students who are unable to attend mainstream education due to a variety of reasons. The school is dedicated to helping students develop both academically and emotionally, with a focus on promoting positive behaviours and supporting their individual learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Support students with SEND, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging and explosive behaviours.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, ensuring they are engaged, supported, and progressing in their learning.
