Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – PRU / Alternative Provision

Location: Sutton

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 4:00pm

Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term or Temp-to-Perm

Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people who need it most? We are recruiting a committed and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' Pupil Referral Unit and Alternative Provision in Sutton, part of a respected multi-academy trust. This specialist setting supports students with a range of social, emotional, behavioural, and learning needs.

The Role:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and complex needs
  • Help deliver EHCP targets and implement tailored behaviour strategies
  • Create a safe, supportive learning environment in collaboration with teaching and therapeutic staff
  • Build positive relationships and promote engagement, self-confidence, and academic growth
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in a PRU, AP, or specialist SEND setting (desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management and a calm, nurturing approach
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
  • Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) on the update service or willingness to apply
