An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Teacher for a Pupil Referral Unit in Birmingham. This full-time role involves working with children who exhibit challenging behaviour and ensuring their successful transition back to mainstream education. The ideal candidate will possess QTS status and have extensive knowledge of the KS1/2 curriculum, alongside strong classroom management skills. With small class sizes and support from teaching assistants, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys. Join a supportive environment that values supply staff and often offers permanent roles.
Academics Ltd would like to welcome a Teacher to a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in South Birmingham, as soon as possible. This is a full time, long term position!
The PRU caters for children who show challenging behaviour with a view to return to mainstream education settings soon. Children have Special Education Needs including ADHD, SEMH, EBD, Dyslexia and others. Class sizes are small, and TA’s are available for classroom support. Most students are Key Stage 2, so a Teacher experienced in KS1/KS2 would be beneficial.
The ideal Teacher will have strong classroom behaviour management whilst maintaining and exceeding children’s attainment levels. The Teacher will also have good subject knowledge and utilise resources provided effectively, ensuring children make progress in returning to a mainstream setting.
Academics Ltd requires all Teachers to have a fully enhanced DBS check, a minimum of two year working references plus a face to face interview.
