Job summary

GSL Education is actively seeking a committed PRU Teacher to support learners at a specialist provision in Romford and Basildon. You will deliver Maths and Science up to GCSE, plan personalised lessons and nurture a supportive learning environment.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a driving licence for site travel, and experience with SEN/SEMH needs. A passion for re-engagement and safeguarding is essential for success in this setting.

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification/experience.
• Driving licence to travel between sites.
• Experience teaching Maths and/or Science to GCSE level.
• Experience in PRU, AP, SEMH provision or challenging secondary school environment (desirable).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths and Science up to GCSE level.
• Plan and prepare lessons to meet individual needs.
• Support students who may have challenges within mainstream education.
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Adapt teaching strategies for SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress towards GCSE qualifications.
• Collaborate with parents/carers and external professionals; participate in meetings and PD.
