Overview

PRU English Teacher - Pupil Referral Unit - London Borough of Lambeth - Starting ASAP - Immediate interview - £150-£250 per day (dependent on experience) - Temp to Perm

Responsibilities

• Deliver English lessons to small classes of around 6-8 students in a PRU, supported by two teaching assistants to help with behaviour management during lessons.
• Be a very creative, enthusiastic and motivated English Teacher who can tailor lessons so that all students can participate, engage and enjoy learning.
• Work in collaboration with a team to support pupils with behavioural needs and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years teaching experience in the UK.
• QTS or QTLS.
• Very strong behaviour management skills.

About the School

This opportunity is based in a Pupil Referral Unit in the London borough of Lambeth, catering for students in KS3-KS4 who have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream school and who typically have behavioural difficulties. The school is based in a multicultural area of London and aims to improve students\' behaviour, attitude and attendance with a long-term aim to transition all students back into mainstream education.
