Position Overview

As a senior consultant at Proudfoot, you will be at the forefront of delivering a range of consulting activities for transformative projects. You'll guide and direct consultants and client members, managing one or more workstreams through the entire project lifecycle and ensuring successful implementation. Ideal for ex-mining company Internal Transformation, Operational Transformation or SAP team members wanting to develop their careers.

Main Accountabilities

1. Delivery: Accountable for delivering results for one or more workstreams on a mining project (Open Pit, Underground, Quarries).
2. Collaboration: Work with client staff to identify performance gaps and develop solutions.
3. Implementation: Manage implementation, audit results, and take corrective actions as necessary.
4. Training and Development: Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations to equip clients with the skills needed for sustainable changes.
5. Relationship Building: Develop results-based relationships with client personnel, actively seeking opportunities for cross-selling and additional work.

Skills And Experience

• Honours degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Geology, or Mining Engineering, or honours degree in Science/Engineering with an MBA.
• 2+ years of work experience in mining or related operations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Significant understanding of the mining sector industry dynamics.
• Passion for analytics and developing new approaches to mining data analysis.
• Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment.
• Self-motivated with a high service-oriented work ethic.
• Willing to travel up to 80%, with possible rotations of up to one month.
• Multilingual: Fluency in English is required; additional languages like French, Spanish, Portuguese are a plus.
• Lean / 6s / Agile Sprint certified.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Yellow Fever Certificate is a plus.
