Job summary

Imperial Brands in Liverpool is seeking a Process Equipment & Test Technician for an 18 month fixed term contract. You will operate advanced manufacturing equipment in a daytime R&D setting to produce prototypes, support equipment trials and drive rapid innovation without production targets.

You will develop knowledge of machines and materials used across R&D, maintain accurate records, and contribute to ongoing testing and assessment to propel future products in a fast-moving FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in consumer goods or light industrial manufacturing or electrical engineering environments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with purpose.
• Strong communication, time management, reporting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to manufacture and quality assess prototype samples.
• Keep accurate Batch Manufacturing Records and documentation for machine trials.
• Develop detailed understanding of machines and materials used in R&D.
• Perform planned maintenance: machine settings, cleaning, inspection and lubrication; execute breakdowns and machine enhancements; plan periodic deeper maintenance.
