Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) are seeking an interim Prototyping and Maintenance Engineer to work with a global FMCG client at Colworth Science Park, Sharnbrook (MK44). 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Contract is 6 months with potential extension; salary up to £50,000 per annum pro rata. You will lead fabrication of prototype components, support maintenance of a pilot plant, and collaborate with designers and process engineers.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship with strong mechanical engineering experience.
• CNC programming experience required; TIG welding preferred.
• Experience in prototyping, fabrication and maintenance in a FMCG setting.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture prototype components, sub-systems, nozzles and jigs using CNC tooling and welding.
• Verify parts against drawings with precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with designers and process engineers to deliver practical solutions.
• Lead one-off prototypes and maintain pilot plant equipment through planned maintenance.
