Job summary

Barking & Dagenham College is seeking a Protective Services Lecturer to inspire and train students across FE/HE routes at our Rush Green Campus. The role is full-time (36 hours) with a salary up to £46,307 and London Weighting, dependent on qualifications and experience.

You will deliver theory and practical units, support learners to achieve higher grades, and contribute to course development while adhering to QA and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification required or in-progress.
• Experience teaching in Further or Higher Education.
• Strong administrative skills and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Teach Protect­ive Services theory and practical units to diverse learners.
• Deliver specialist units: drill, telecommunications, emergency planning, map reading, crime scene investigation, fitness.
• Contribute to course development and QA processes with external awarding bodies.
• Use learning platforms (Google Classroom or similar) to share briefs and feedback.
• Support learners to improve grades and attainment.
• Maintain organised workloads and timely feedback to students.
