Protective Security Advisor – Police Staff – NaCTSO – Counter Terrorism Poling HQ

The Personal Security team provide personal security advice to individuals who may be at risk from serious physical harm or deemed a legitimate target by their association, their role, or political association. The team draw on their own expertise and experience, National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) colleagues and the Counter Terrorism Security Advisor (CTSA) network as well as liaising with the National Protective Security Agency (NPSA) and other external agencies and private industry to establish and evolve CTP’s personal security guidance.

They support the on-going exploration and understanding of innovative protective security options, which are used across the Personal Security arena.

Key Tasks

The post holder will be required to do the following:

• Support and develop protective and personal security advice/guidance for delivery to, and by, the CTSA network.
• Assist in the delivery of protective security advice and guidance to individuals, businesses and His Majesties Govt. depts.
• Assist in the development of innovative protective security measures and techniques.
• Assist in the creation and review of protective security plans for high threat individuals and those subject to on-going CT/C-ST investigations.
• Support Op. BRIDGER and Op. FORD with the personal security briefings to elected officials at time of increased threat, and in the run-up to any relevant elections.
