Working Hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share, or full-time basis.

Location: Flexible, with some travel to our Life Head Office in Swindon.

Job Description:

The Opportunity: We are seeking a Retail Protection Product Consultant to join our team. You will help design, implement, and manage Zurich’s protection products to secure our customers' financial futures. You will support all stages of our protection product development, working in cross-functional teams to balance speed to market, project costs, regulatory compliance, and shareholder return, always focusing on good customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze the protection market, competitors, and customer needs to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Develop ideas to enhance existing and new propositions.
• Assess feasibility of new product ideas, build business cases, and make recommendations.
• Lead or support projects to refresh, upgrade, or create new protection propositions.
• Collaborate with experts across the business to ensure changes meet customer needs and are cost-effective.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks related to delivery and regulation.
• Maintain our propositions on industry quote portals and advice systems.
• Understand regulatory changes and their impact, ensuring compliance.
• Understand commercial aspects like pricing and reinsurance.
• Act as a protection expert, supporting other areas as needed.
• Develop and maintain a network of relevant experts.

Candidate Profile:

• Understanding of the advised and UK Life market; experience in non-advised market is a plus.
• Experience in UK Retail Protection is preferred.
• Passion for protecting customers’ financial futures.
• Experience leading multi-functional project teams.
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-starter with a growth mindset and creative thinking.
• Ability to use data and feedback to optimize propositions.
• Commitment to personal development and protection expertise.
• Experience supporting marketing and product launches.
