Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking an aspiring actuary to lead protection pricing initiatives, guiding data analysis and experience studies through to pricing recommendations.

You will analyse claims experience, assess risk and help shape pricing assumptions, while monitoring treaty performance to inform pricing decisions and client discussions. You will also contribute to new product development and coach junior team members.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or nearly qualified actuary with 2-3 exams remaining.
• Experience in actuarial pricing, preferably protection.
• Experience analysis capability with understanding of risk and pricing assumptions.
• Strong Excel skills; R/Python/VBA beneficial.

• Experience in actuarial pricing, ideally within protection.
• Experience analysis capability, with an understanding of risk and pricing assumptions.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with R, Python or VBA is beneficial.
