Protection and Control (P&C) Commissioning Engineer, London

We are seeking a Protection and Control (P&C) commissioning engineer to join our Power Networks team within our Net Zero Energy Business. This position can be home-based or based from one of our UK offices in Birmingham, Glasgow, Epsom, or Leeds, with site visits across the UK expected.

The sector is adapting to high levels of modern generation, transmission, and distribution technologies, energy storage, and the increased demand from electrification of transport and heat. Networks play a crucial role in connecting renewable energy, with transmission network operators securing around £8bn for RIIO T2.

Your role:

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of protection and control systems in various projects.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Attend site visits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

What you bring:

• HND or degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in commissioning P&C of substations in the UK (NG and/or SSE).
• BP141 or equivalent authorization or the ability to obtain it.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality regulations.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
• Right to work in the UK.
