Protection and Control (P&C) Commissioning Engineer, Epsom

Join us in building a carbon-free future. We are seeking a Protection and Control (P&C) commissioning engineer to join our Power Networks team within our Net Zero Energy Business. This position can be home-based or based from one of our UK offices in Birmingham, Glasgow, Epsom, or Leeds, with site visits across the UK.

The UK energy market is undergoing significant change as the country moves towards a net zero carbon target. The sector is adopting modern generation, transmission, and distribution technologies, energy storage, and preparing for increased demand due to the electrification of transport and heat. As part of the Net Zero agenda, networks play a crucial role in connecting renewable energy. The transmission network operators have secured approximately £8 billion as part of the RIIO T2 package.

Your purpose:

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning stages of projects as a P&C commissioning engineer, resolving technical issues onsite.
  • Enjoy troubleshooting and proactively resolving issues.

Examples of work involved:

  • Commissioning protection and control aspects of various projects.
  • Coordinating with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Attending site visits, FAT, and SAT as needed.
