Job summary

Translink invites applications for the Protection & Assurance Co-Ordinator role in the Belfast area. The position concentrates on coordinating access to NI Railways infrastructure to ensure works are carried out safely and in line with the company rule book and SH&E procedures.

It requires strong safety leadership and the ability to drive improvements. The role supports management in technical, safety, and competence matters, and involves flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an HNC/HND or equivalent OR possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory/assessor role.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a safety critical environment.
• Experience of using MS Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Able to work frequently at nights and weekends when required.
• Possess a full current driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Job Description

You will oversee, plan and coordinate access to the Northern Ireland Railways Infrastructure to allow works to take place safely in accordance with the company rule book and relevant standards and SH&E procedures. You will support the management team in carrying out their functions in relation to technical, safety and competence management. In addition, continuously drive safety improvements in arrangements for the planning and protection of worksites across the Translink portfolio.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of an HNC/HND or equivalent OR possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory/assessor role.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a safety critical environment.
• Experience of using MS Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Able to work frequently at nights and weekends when required.
• Possess a full current driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Desirable Criteria

• Possess NEBOSH General Certificate
• Experience of carrying out risk assessments or competence management assessments.
• Experience undertaking SH&E inspections/audits
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) certified
• Possess CSR/1 Day H&S training
