Prospect Research Officer

Our client is an esteemed organization dedicated to eye health, supporting a specialist eye hospital and its academic partner through innovative fundraising programs. They are seeking to appoint a Prospect Research Officer on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE).

Position Details

• Type: Permanent, Hybrid, Part-time (0.6 FTE)
• Salary: £37,414 - £43,650 FTE

Role Responsibilities

The Prospect Research Officer will develop and maintain a robust prospect pipeline, providing the philanthropy team with qualified prospects from individuals, corporate entities, and trusts/foundations. The officer will conduct background research on current and prospective donors, utilizing financial, biographical, corporate, and philanthropic data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws. Reporting to the Prospect Research Manager, they will regularly review and adapt the research strategy to meet internal needs.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of philanthropy principles, fundraising practices, donor motivations, and wealth indicators. They should have proven experience in conducting detailed background research on high-net-worth individuals, company directors, and family trusts or foundations. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of producing accurate donor profiles and managing systems to support prospect pipeline management.
