Overview

Locum Prosecutions & Licensing Lawyer – 3 months + – Predominantly Remote Working – Part Time– Home Counties

Position: Locum Prosecutions & Licensing Lawyer

Organisation: Home Counties based Local Authority

Duration: 3 months + with the possibility of extension thereafter

Working Pattern: Part Time, roughly 25 hours per week

Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote working, Court attendance when required

Hourly Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have experience in handling Prosecutions & Licensing matters and can demonstrate prior experience working on behalf of Local Authorities.

Duties
  • Manage a caseload and provide legal advice on a wide range of Prosecution matters including Environmental crime, Education offences, Trading standards matters and taxi/premises licensing
  • Conduct Case Preparation and case management of allocated cases for Court purposes and liaise with the relevant Clients from various departments within the Local Authority
  • Act as advocate on behalf of Local Authority at Magistrates Court
  • Reviewing work to ensure work is completed to a high standard
