Job description

MWH Treatment has a great opportunity for a Proposals Manager to join our growing delivery team working across the Southern region for our Joint Venture between MWH Treatment and Costain.

CMDP is a joint venture between Costain and MWHT, delivering schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works in the eastern half of its region (Kent & Sussex).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure constructability input is received in a timely manner from the delivery partners.
  2. Work with the regional construction lead to ensure suitable and sufficient resources are available and deployed to projects.
  3. Manage project activities related to scope, schedule, finances, risks, quality, and resources within defined thresholds and tolerances. Escalate to Regional Project Managers where necessary.
  4. Ensure that the approach to Health & Safety and Wellbeing procedures meet high standards as a minimum.
  5. Engage with assigned stakeholders according to the overall communication plan, including design or construction permits, planning consents, and street-works.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or HND in Civil Engineering with vocational training in Engineering.
  • Experienced Project Manager or Senior Agent with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary D&B projects including civils and MEICA.
  • Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, document control systems, and Primavera software.
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
