Job summary

Swindale Parks (Sales & Marketing) Recruitment is seeking a Proposals Engineer for an engineering, manufacturing, machining or precision repair environment. You will lead the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission, ensuring estimates are robust and compliant with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, machining or precision repair environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering methods and materials.
• Proficient in cost modelling and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
• Producing quotations: interpreting drawings, specifications & technical documents.
• Preparing detailed cost breakdowns covering labour, materials, equipment etc.
• Conducting risk & opportunity assessments.
• Engaging with suppliers & subcontractors, obtaining competitive quotes & evaluating proposals.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers and commercial teams.
• Present estimates & commercial recommendations to leadership.
• Supporting value engineering initiatives.
