Job summary

ATA Recruitment is assisting a Leicester-based engineering company to recruit a Sales & Proposals Engineer. You will support the external sales engineer by producing proposals for enquiries, ranging from 5K to 500K, with proposals typically delivered within 72 hours.

The role is office-based in Leicester, requiring strong proposal writing and costing skills, and a keenness to develop a career in sales within the engineering sector. Salary £40,000–£45,000 with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Sizing equipment for projects including filters, fans and motors.
• Establishing proposed costing for equipment.
• Determining ducting runs and related costs.
• Liaising with customers from shop floor to MD level.
• Producing final written proposals detailing equipment and costs.
• Handling multiple proposals sized 5K to 500K with 72-hour turnaround.
