Proposals Engineer / Estimator

We are currently recruiting for a Proposals Engineer / Estimator with a background in Building Services Engineering, M&E, HVAC.

• Salary to £48K
• 25 days holiday
• Private medical, pension
• Flexible working hours with early finish on Friday, 38 hours per week

Previous estimating experience in an M&E or HVAC environment is essential.

The Role

• Work in a team to develop accurate and competitive proposals for large, high-value engineered-to-order industrial solutions.
• Estimate pipework, labour, and materials.
• Create basic design sketches using AutoCAD.
• Review tender documents and specifications.
• Calculate accurate costings.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proposals are accurate and technically suitable.

Requirements

• Degree or HNC in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to produce AutoCAD sketches for spatial design and costing purposes.
• Strong knowledge of estimating in an M&E, HVAC, or industrial engineering context.
• Previous experience as a Proposals Engineer, Estimator, Tendering Engineer, or Mechanical Design Engineer.
