Job description

We recruit Proposal roles across the UK, and I am delighted to announce our partnership with an award-winning, leading national law firm currently seeking a Proposal Manager to join their team in Glasgow. The role holder will be responsible for the overall performance, skills development, and leadership of the Proposals Assistants and Executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal clients through the bid response process, including horizon scanning, qualifying (Go/No Go), planning, developing, and submitting compliant, high-quality proposals within client-defined timeframes.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Proposals to implement process improvements that streamline service delivery to internal clients.
  • Maintain the proposals pipeline up to a year in advance and conduct horizon scanning for opportunities.
  • Assist with opportunity qualification by researching clients and sectors to understand key priorities and win themes, documenting considerations and rationale, and communicating outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain the proposal response plan, including scheduling and facilitating proposal kick-off meetings.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a dedicated proposal/bids role within professional services or construction sectors, or a lawyer with 5 years PQE.
  • Strong academic background with a degree in English, marketing, business, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written English and oral communication skills.

Please note: Due to sector specificity, only candidates with valid work experience in a Law Firm, Accountancy Firm, Management Consultancy, Property/Construction Firm, Financial Services Firm, or a high-profile relevant Association or Agency will be considered.
