Job Summary

As a Proposal Engineer I, you will play a key role within a team selling model by supporting the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals for prospective projects. This position involves collaborating with various functions and departments to gather information, analyse customer requirements, and develop compelling proposals that align with company capabilities and client expectations. The Proposal Engineer I assists in the growth of business opportunities through effective proposal management and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of proposals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • With close involvement from Commercial and Technical Leads, analyse customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare cost estimates, technical and commercial proposals, and related documentation in response to customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for proposal development.
  • Assist in the review and editing of proposal content to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with customer needs.
  • Maintain proposal templates, pricing databases, and other relevant documentation.
  • Support proposal review meetings and participate in internal Contract Scorecard Reviews
  • Track and report on proposal status and outcomes to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
    • Some examples could include supporting new Innovation Center Piloting runs or commercial plant start-ups to aid in personal development and provide a real world connection to the solutions you are supporting/selling.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret complex technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • SAP and Salesforce experience a plus.
