Job summary

Davisons Law is seeking a Commercial and Residential Property Legal Assistant to support the Property team with administrative, legal and clerical tasks. You will handle a varied caseload and assist with pre-exchange searches, SDLT returns, and land registry filings as part of a busy practice.

The role requires prior legal support experience in commercial or residential property, excellent communication, and strong organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a legal support role, preferably in property matters.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team.
• Proactive, positive attitude and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support on a diverse caseload of commercial and residential property transactions.
• Maintain filing systems, open/close client files, and issue client care letters.
• Prioritise work and stay calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Prepare pre-exchange searches, indemnity policies, SDLT returns and land registry applications.
• Draft and amend legal documents such as transfer deeds.
• Assist with contract packs, reports on title, and completion statements.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors and third parties; respond to enquiries.
