Job description

Property Surveyor (Hybrid) needed in Cambridge, £23.31ph PAYE - Reference: 5272664

Full-time position, open to part-time or flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the estate of commercial land and property.
  2. Negotiating terms for leases, licences, easements, rent reviews, lease renewals, deeds of variation, and lease restructuring.
  3. Handling land and property acquisitions and disposals, including negotiations related to compulsory purchase and compensation claims.
  4. Inspecting, surveying, and preparing reports, valuations, and plans for houses and flats under the 1985 Housing Right-to-Buy provisions, including appeals and equity share transactions.
  5. Performing valuations and appraisals as instructed by relevant Committees.
  6. Maintaining property and valuation records.
  7. Assisting with advertising and publishing available properties online and in print.
  8. Managing designated cost centres, calculating and managing service charges, and assisting with budget preparation and monitoring.
  9. Maintaining accurate timesheets in accordance with departmental systems.
  10. Ensuring confidentiality in all work and communications.
  11. Identifying personal training and development needs and participating in relevant activities.
  12. Performing any other duties as assigned by the line manager, consistent with the post's grading.

This is a full-time, temporary role.
