Post Title: Property Surveyor (Building Services)

Salary: £44,590 - £48,266 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To undertake a programme of condition and suitability surveys of the mechanical and electrical building services of the Council’s property portfolio to provide a uniform and objective basis for obtaining detailed information on the current state of council’s premises and allow for strategic forecasting of lifecycle maintenance work required.

To assess the condition and suitability of council buildings and facilities, ensuring they meet safety, health, and regulatory standards. This role involves conducting detailed surveys in accordance with Scottish Government requirements, reporting on the condition of structures, and recommending necessary repairs and maintenance to support the effective operation of council facilities.

To assist in the management of the Council’s General Fund property estate and to assist in developing and contributing to strategic policies and procedures.

Requirements
