Property Surveyor - Housing Repairs (Westminster City Council)

These pivotal roles in maintaining and improving the council’s housing stock, ensuring high standards of property management, repairs, and maintenance across a portfolio of 5,000 homes.

About the Role

As a Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing repairs, planned works, refurbishments, and preventative maintenance.
  • Managing contractor relationships to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Leading inspections and implementing strategies for property upkeep.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to deliver high-quality service.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in property surveying, repairs, and maintenance within a residential housing setting.
  • Strong understanding of contract management and compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose building defects and specify remedial works.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
