North Devon Homes is seeking a skilled and motivated individual with either experience of property maintenance inspection, surveying and or as a time-served tradesperson to join our Asset Management team. If youre passionate about delivering high-quality surveying services and making a real impact in your community, wed love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Property Surveyor, youll be responsible for conducting a wide range of property inspections including stock condition, fire risk assessments, asbestos re-inspections, and energy ratings. Youll diagnose repairs, produce schedules of work and bills of quantities, and ensure cost-effective solutions are delivered within priority timescales.

Youll work closely with internal teams and external contractors, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards. This is a customer-facing role where your ability to communicate clearly and resolve issues will be key to delivering excellent service.

What Were Looking For

  • HNC/NVQ Level 3 in Building Studies or a trade qualification
  • Minimum 5 years site experience
  • Working towards CIOB or RICS membership (within 12 months)
  • Strong knowledge of building defects, repair specifications, and CDM regulations
  • Experience in managing contractors and delivering projects to budget and timescale
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across North Devon
  • P402 Asbestos Surveying qualification (or willingness to obtain)
