Due to continued success, our Real Estate Partner is seeking to add a Property Associate to join them in London or on a remote basis.

The Role

We are looking for a Residential Property Solicitor / Legal Executive with 2+ years PQE to join our London-based Residential & Commercial Property team, working remotely.

As a Solicitor / Legal Executive (2PQE+), you will join an outstanding Real Estate Partner. You will be a key member of the department, responsible for fee-earning and actively participating in transactions.

You will work on a broad and varied range of residential property transactions, liaising with team members and coordinating advice from other practice areas and departments.

Your duties will involve; drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including residential sale contracts, leases, agreements for lease, conducting due diligence (reviewing and reporting on title, planning, searches), preparing draft reports, and more.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of all stages of property transactions and be confident managing their workload with minimal supervision.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Transfer of ownership
• Filing SDLT Returns
• Carrying out Land Registry searches
• Completion and post-completion administration, including Companies House and Land Registry applications
• Monitoring emails and responding as necessary
• Preparing Lease Reports and document summaries
• Scheduling Title Deeds and Documents
• Assisting with administrative duties such as filing, copying, printing, answering calls, emails, and liaising with clients.

This role is suitable for individuals with previous residential property experience who wish to develop their careers in a Top 75 law firm within residential & commercial property.

The position can be based in any of our national offices or remotely.

Personal Specification

To succeed, you should have prior experience in Property Law as a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2+ years handling residential property matters. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign, and other relevant tools. You should be proactive, organized, and eager to drive transactions forward.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivation and a strong interest in property law
• Ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• Strong IT skills, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Data Rooms
• Good planning and prioritization skills
• Initiative in managing tasks
