Property Development Project Manager – High-Profile Family Office (Super-Prime Property Sector)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Property Development Project Manager to oversee the delivery of capital expenditure (capex) projects across an exceptional super-prime property portfolio owned by a high-profile family office. The successful candidate will manage projects from inception to handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard. This role involves working across super-prime London properties as well as select assets up to two hours outside of London – a full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Take day-to-day ownership of capex development projects, overseeing inception, design, planning, procurement, delivery, and handover (full project lifecycle).
  • Lead and coordinate external project teams, working closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient project delivery.
  • Drive innovation and value through a collaborative approach, constantly challenging to improve outcomes.
  • Define clear project objectives to maintain focus from start to finish.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets to meet cost and value targets.
  • Track and report key project metrics to benchmark and assess progress.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and inquisitive approach, providing succinct and informed input into decision-making.
  • Capture and share lessons learned across teams to foster continuous improvement.
  • Arrange tenders for works, draft client briefs, and oversee schedules of works.
  • Oversee drafting, execution, and administration of contracts (experience with JCT suite beneficial).
  • Manage consultant coordination, contract administration, and post-completion documentation.
  • Carry out regular site inspections alongside Property Directors and/or contractors.
  • Prepare and present project reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the property sector, ideally within a high-end residential, super-prime or private client environment, with a focus on development management or project management.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the areas outlined above.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or certifications (e.g., RICS) with strong project management experience.
  • A strong academic background, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Skilled at building productive relationships with colleagues, tenants, professional advisors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute, financially literate, analytical, and data-driven.
  • Professional, discreet, personable and credible with strong presentation skills; able to operate confidently within a high-profile private environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to properties across London and up to two hours outside of London.
  • Able to work independently, exercising discretion and sound judgment.
