Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Paralegal to join a well-established St Albans law firm, committed to providing exceptional legal services to clients.

Their team of dedicated professionals works collaboratively to ensure the highest standards of service in a friendly, supportive, and almost paperless environment.

We are seeking an experienced Property Paralegal to join a busy and supportive team, reporting to the Head of Property.

What’s in it for you:

Salary: £25-30k Depending on experience

Hours: 34.5 hours per week – 9.00 – 5.00 Monday to Thursday and 9.00 – 4.30 on Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft and send out Contract Packs
  2. Order Freehold/Leasehold Management Packs
  3. Correspond with Management Companies and provide updates to estate agents and clients as required
  4. Order Redemption Statements
  5. Assist clients with and reply to enquiries raised
  6. Exchange Contracts, Draft Completion Statements, attend to completion
  7. Order Searches, Review Mortgage Offers, review replies to enquiries, provide updates to estate agents and clients as required
  8. Draft Transfer Deeds, Draft Deed of Covenant
  9. Carry out pre-exchange searches (priority and bankruptcy), Exchange contracts
  10. Submit Certificates of Title to Lenders
  11. Draft Completion Statements
  12. Attend to completion
  13. Submit SDLT Forms, Submit AP1 Forms, Prepare and submit First Registration applications, Draft RX forms

What the employer is looking for:

  1. 2 years’ experience within a Property Paralegal role
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  4. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
  5. Ability to deal with post completion matters where required
  6. Ability to deal with Purchase Transactions (with Fee Earners guidance)
  7. Ability to deal with Sales Transactions (with Fee Earners guidance)
