We are recruiting a Property Paralegal for a leading Legal 500 firm in Brighton. This is a firm with an excellent culture, flexible working and competitive salaries.

About the Role

Experienced Paralegal to join a successful Real Estate department in their Brighton office. You will be joining a busy, diverse and proactive team, supporting an experienced fee-earner and dealing with high quality work. You should be keen to take on a challenging and varied role, with strong prospects for advancement in due course.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the running of live files
  • Supporting your supervisor in all aspects of conveyancing transactions, from instructions through to post completion
  • Liaising with all parties and providing administrative and legal assistance throughout the conveyancing process
  • File opening and AML compliance
  • Dealing with administrative exchange formalities completion and post completion tasks
  • Preparing reports on title, mortgages and searches (with supervision)
  • Raising and reviewing enquiries on title and contract packs, searches and surveys (with supervision)
  • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors to progress transactions
  • Drafting financial statements and invoices
  • General administration tasks and the updating of internal and external systems
  • Client contact, with supervision
Qualifications

Previous paralegal or fee-earning conveyancing experience in a legal environment is required and you should ideally also have relevant legal qualifications. The firm do however offer support for different routes to qualification, if successful.

Required Skills
  • Good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
  • Practical experience in raising enquiries, reviewing replies and report drafting (under supervision)
