Property Officer (9-Month Maternity Cover) in Luton

Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Property Officer in Luton to cover a 9-month maternity contract with a reputable property management company. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a varied and hands-on role managing a portfolio of residential and some commercial properties, supporting both tenants and the wider office team.

Location: Luton
Salary: £23,400 per annum + Pension + Free Parking
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term (9-month maternity cover)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of residential and some commercial properties
• Conduct property inspections and coordinate maintenance works
• Ensure compliance with relevant property legislation and safety standards
• Handle tenant enquiries and maintain strong communication
• Liaise with contractors and internal teams
• Process invoices and scan daily office post
• Assist with reception cover, car park management, and fire safety compliance
• Support general finance and office administration duties
• Proactive, self-motivated, and confident, with a strong sense of ownership
• Solid administration and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• IT proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multi-task effectively
