Job summary

FirstPort is the UK’s leading property management company, caring for homes across England, Wales and Scotland. The role is field-based, covering a portfolio around Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, with a £4,500 car allowance and competitive benefits. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (35 hours).

Responsibilities

• Visit properties regularly and manage diary autonomously.
• Arrange and lead meetings with stakeholders; influence decisions and disputes.
• Manage expenditures, cash flow, service charges, budgets and audits.
• Coordinate with credit control for debt management in portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety laws including Fire, Asbestos, Legionella.
• Conduct site inspections; monitor portfolio KPIs throughout the year.
• Oversee major works, manage external contractors and scope of work.
• Mobilise and manage new schemes brought into FirstPort management.

Salary: Competitive salary, plus a car allowance of £4,500 plus benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week)

Main Responsibilities

• As a remote manager, you will be autonomous in managing your own diary. You will visit each property at regular intervals and will need to prioritise sites that require more of your time and attention.
• Arrange and facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders within your portfolio, guiding and positively influencing decisions and disputes.
• Manage and authorise all expenditure throughout the year, maintaining cash flow to and ensuring value for money for customers and clients whilst reviewing service charge audited accounts and budgets.
• Liaise with the credit control function to ensure effective debt management of the portfolio.
• Ensure that all the property is managed in accordance with key Health and Safety legislation including Fire Safety, Asbestos and Legionella/water hygiene control regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive site inspections and visits of your portfolio ensuring portfolio KPI’s are achieved throughout the year.
• Ensure timely delivery of major works and remedial planned works are undertaken whilst managing contracts with affiliated external contractors overseeing their performance and scope of work
• Deliver professional and effective mobilisation and management of new schemes that are brought into FirstPort management

About you

You will be a property management professional, ideally experiences in both block management and housing estates. You will be comitted to delivering the best posible service to our residents. You will be c ommercially astute; able to use data, trend analysis and insights to make decisions. As a c onfident and articulate communicator; you will be able to build relationships with all types of customers and clients.

You will have a natural ability to effectively chair and present meetings and deliver complex updates and financial information to different audiences. You will have excellent knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and Residential Landlord & Tenant legislation relevant to property management. A TPI qualification is a distinct advantage.

£17,485.00 per annum, plus benefits - Additional London Weighting allowance if applicable
