Property Manager - North Region

Location: North

Malmaison and Hotel du Vin have 37 boutique hotels across the UK. This position supports 18 properties in the North Region, from Manchester to Aberdeen. Regular travel between sites is required, with potential to support other regions based on business needs.

We are seeking a Property Manager responsible for overseeing property management, maintenance, and operational performance. Reporting to the Property Director, you will lead Maintenance Managers, manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and support asset performance and sustainability initiatives.

You will provide operational and administrative support, acting as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders such as finance, development managers, and contractors. Maintaining high standards of property performance, safety, and guest satisfaction is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee maintenance, repair, and operations of regional properties to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
  2. Support and develop Maintenance Managers and their teams, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
  3. Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring contractual and service standards are met.
  4. Assist in managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  5. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, building codes, and industry standards. Conduct regular audits to identify improvements and mitigate risks.
  6. Support sustainability initiatives aligned with ESG targets.
  7. Support crisis management and business continuity planning.
  8. Collaborate on asset maintenance, refurbishment, and capital projects.
  9. Provide performance reports and maintain communication with stakeholders.
  10. Stay updated on legislation and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Experience in property or facilities management, preferably in hospitality or similar sectors.
  2. Leadership experience managing teams and vendors.
  3. Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
  4. Experience managing budgets, contracts, and negotiations.
  5. Understanding of construction, Hard FM, and project management.
  6. Knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices.
  7. Proficiency with facilities management software such as CAFM.
  8. Relevant qualifications in facilities management or health and safety.
  9. Proactive process improvement skills.
  10. Willingness to travel nationally.
  11. Eligibility to work in the UK.
