Worth Recruiting - Property Industry Recruitment is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a residential portfolio in Margate and the surrounding area. The role requires strong property management experience, organisation and a commitment to excellent resident service.

The duties include managing maintenance, inspections, tenancy matters and resident relationships, with hybrid working (some days remote) and regular site visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in residential property management.
• Live within approximately 30 minutes travel of Margate.
• Knowledge of residential property management legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of a residential portfolio across Margate and surrounding areas.
• Act as main point of contact for residents, handling enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Carrying out regular site visits and property inspections to monitor standards and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors; ensure timely completion.
• Oversee tenancy matters, complaints, compliance and accurate property records.
• Liaise with landlords and internal teams; provide portfolio updates and improve resident experience.

An experienced Property Manager is required to oversee a residential property portfolio in Margate and the surrounding areas. The perfect candidate will combine strong property management experience with organisational skills, practical problem-solving and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Vacancy: Property Manager

Location: Margate

Salary: £37,000 per annum

Position: Permanent – Full Time

The role offers some hybrid working, with some days remotely and some days at the Hastings office but will also involve regular site visits to the properties themselves in Margate.

The successful candidate will manage maintenance, inspections, tenancy matters and resident relationships, taking ownership of the portfolio while ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard. Applicants must live within approximately 30 minutes travel of Margate.

What you'll be doing (Key Responsibilities) as a Property Manager:

• Must live within approximately 30 minutes of Margate to accommodate frequent site visits
• A good understanding of residential property management legislation and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Confidence working independently in a hybrid role while maintaining effective communication with the wider team
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for regular site visits, with build-to-rent or large portfolio experience advantageous
